To help you understand a bit about our business we note the following "Questions and Answers":
Q: How long have you been in business?
The business was established in 1985, so we have already celebrated our silver wedding anniversary and hopefully many more years to go!
Q: Have you always been called GRANTS?
No – we used to be known as Houston Rooney Chartered Accountants.
The business name was changed to GRANTS a few years ago. Our Managing Director – Al Grant – took this decision mainly for personal reasons so that in his words “it would make my late parents very proud”.
Q: Where are you based?
Our office is in the City Centre of Glasgow.
This location, however, is only our base and we deal with clients throughout the UK.
Q: What is your client base?
We deal with small and medium sized business clients and also have a portfolio of personal tax clients.
We have a “contractor” division and a “general practice” division.
The former specialises in providing services to individuals contracting in the UK.
The latter division deals with a varied client base and business ranging from small sole traders working on their own to larger limited companies with employees.
By way of demonstrating the range of our client base we currently deal with the accountancy and tax affairs of self employed individuals with modest turnovers while at the other end of the scale we provide a full accountancy, tax, payroll and management accounts service to a group of clients in the leisure industry with a turnover of over £5 million.
